MAE MOH MINE HERITAGE GEOPARK
“Mae Moh Mine Heritage Geopark” prioritizes the preservation of geoheritage and mining identity (mining area and power plant), focusing on the geodiversity and geomorphological uniqueness of Mae Moh Mine geography that has been shaped by mining operations, to conserve and enhance this industrial heritage area.
CONCEPTLINE 2: TRANSITION
MAE MOH MINE ENERGYSCAPE
“Mae Moh Energyscape towards Carbon Neutrality” aims to achieve the transition towards carbon neutrality, while maintaining post-mining energy stability of Thailand’s northern region, converting from the present coal-fired power plant to renewable energy from solar power in the future. At the same time, providing sustainable energy security to stakeholders around Mae Moh Mine, a collaborative project between the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) and local communities.
CONCEPTLINE 3: DIVERSIFICATION
MAE MOH GREEN HYDROGEN VALLEY
“Mae Moh Green Hydrogen Valley” diversifies the positioning of the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) as a leader in green hydrogen energy innovation. Mae Moh as an Energy Innovation Center (EIC) and a pilot model in the incorporation of future energy diversification with existing local communities. Resulting in a concept line that achieves all key pillars in post-mining development.
